Degree in Psychology and Kinesiology from SImon Fraser University

Yoon is born and raise in Busan, Korea. He immigrated to Vancouver, British Colombia when he was 17 years old and  started his martial arts career in Canada. He started BJJ from Marcus Soares in 2003 and had first MMA fight in 2004.

He decided to learn new style of BJJ and MMA in Japan in 2006 because Japan used have the newest fighting and training style at that time. He met Dong Hyun Kim(UFC welter weight fighter Rank #8) and soon became part of Team MAD while training with Dong Hyun Kim. After Yoon finished his education in Simon Fraser university in Vancouver,  he moved back to Busan immediately for the sake of training with Team MAD.

After having number of BJJ and MMA matches in Korea and he decided to open his own gym. Now he is concentrating on teach his students and managing Team MAD fighters including UFC translator, fight manager and Team Video production. 

He got his black belt from his professor Bibiano Fernandes in June of 2016.
